Shiny Game Fun

Fickle Fairy

I love hunts and quests and games on Second Life.

One of my earliest activities was Treasure Quest - a bi-monthly hunt with hints. I honestly didn't much care about the prizes - I just liked following the clues and finding things. When grid-wide hunts occurred, I jumped in with both feet and ran my inventory up like a professional.

Recently, though, I've been exploring some of the more story-based games. Numbakulla continues to stymie me, but I had a lot of fun playing the Sleepy Hollow Clue game - which has the added bonus of not being the same for each person.I even managed to snap some pictures as I went - something I'm going to try to do more of as I explore other opportunities for engaging actively with the artistic creations of others.

  1. that is such a pretty picture of you... and that quest sounds fun. I used to work with the Treasure Quest at the beginning, went my separate ways after much drama but I like you LOVE to hunt hehe

  2. Have you gone to any of the sims that Andrek Lowell desgined? They all have several quests to go on. Chakryn Forest, Enchanted, and Bewitched are the ones I like best.

  3. I think a lot of people left Treasure Hunters due to drama, but I have many fond memories of them - so I can't complain!

I haven't, Softpaw. I'll have to check those out!

  4. As the Creator of the Sleepy Hollow Quest (and the 2 previous ones, "Save the Princess" and "The Battle over Death!"), I want to thank all those who have come and played there, and invite everyone to stop by. The entire premise of all the Sleepy Hollow Quests is for a retreat where people can play (for free) a relaxing (and sometimes frustrating!) Quest game.
Please join the Subscriber's Group so you can be made aware of upcoming Quests: The one planned for the Winter Season will be "Who Kidnapped Santa!?" and will take the players on a Quest through four of the most popular TV Holiday Cartoon: Charlie Brown Christmas, The Grinch, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph! Set for release about November, 2011!
