How NOT to Control People in Second Life

Reflections

I had the following experience today, which left me both chagrined and angry:

[19:05] Sim Access Control v3.00: Hello Deoridhe Quandry, welcome at [Sim] You are wearing 0 scripts, using 0.0 MB of memory. I remember you this sim allows max 100 script, and max 4.0 MB of script memory.
[19:05] Sim Access Control v3.00: Your script number exceeds the max allowed in this sim. 200 scripts allowed, 326 script attached to you!
You will be ejected from the sim in next 10 seconds...
[19:06] Sim Access Control v3.00 shouts: Deoridhe Quandry is ejected from the sim. 200 scripts allowed, 326 script attached!

Of note is the fact that it gave me a minute to respond. Like many in Second Life, when I teleport in somewhere I alt-tab to another thing to let things do the initial rez. I keep my chat in view, so  noticed this when it started scrolling abnormally fast, and teleported out as soon as I figured out what was going on. Also of note is that there was no warning prior to teleporting into the sim, either on the Places notice or in the notecard giving me the address, that public humiliation was on the docket. And finally of note - the amount of spam this damn thing generated in less than ten seconds (I estimate about three) is astonishing.

I completely understand wanting to keep visitor's scripts under a certain limit, but it's telling that the first limit is SPAM (which apparently includes spamming shouting range every second) and the second is EJECT. Asking nicely, and then ejecting after giving the person time to respond - without bothering the rest of the sim - might make a little more sense, and not leave a nasty taste in their mouth. I can tell you I went from interested to never wanting to interact with this individual again in less than ten seconds.
