Fantasy Faire: Dark Mirage

In many ways, Dark Mirage is "my" sim.

I've never been an official blogger before, so I have no idea if this is the usual way, but about a month ago  sent in an application to be an "official" blogger, and shortly before the Faire I was given "my" stores from the sim I marked as my top choice. You've seen me blog Sa-eela and De La Soul before, and when I hit Dark Mirage I decided I absolutely needed to bring out their lovely sale items again, as well as feature aspects of their stores here.

Sa-eela
Poses: Sway, art'S #2/2

I had just been at the Pose Faire that day, so I had fun pulling out some of the odder poses I picked up there - including the art'S poses from Sway. Yay artsy! I'm showing off Sa-eela's gorgeous kirtle again, in my favorite configuration with the rope belt. The pose was complete accident - once I realize I could be the /l/ in Sa-eela, well... the picture was determined! The flow of the kirtle was really fun for wandering around in, too - I'm always struck by the delicate patterning of flowers on it. So very lovely.

Dancing by the Vendors
Poses: Sway, art'S #3/4

Her store is very Arabian in style - at least the movie Arabia I know. Lots of carpets and tent curvings and these fantastic curtains. She put her vendors on center stage - check out me feeling myself up right by them! I actually spent a little while dancing here like a very silly faerie! There's also sand dunes, which made me seriously giggle because it's inside a store yet it looks so awesome! Pocket desert, complete with well! All of her items are settled into tents like this one, organized by style which makes it fun to browse.

De La Soul

And then, bouncing along, I found myself at De La Soul! Somehow I transformed, too. Gone is the kirtle and kind of cute desert girl, and here is me as a demon again! I stuck with the rainbow accessories, because that's just how I roll, and added in some fluffies and frillies with enough skin showing that I don't lose my demon cred. Behind me you can see the male version, too, and there are more RFL things on sale which I - bad faerie! - didn't photograph. You have to make the effort - and believe me this sim is worth it (but then all of them are - seriously).

Her store is this amazing dark temple with screaming faces on the sides! Very scary, but what lurks inside is not to be missed. Gird your courage and sally forth! Or... something of the sort.

Fall from Grace

The centerpiece of this sim is in the picture above, and I have to say I think the centerpiece in Dark Mirage is the most breathtaking.

I love all the sims - as my pictures will attest I hope, but the tall tower in the colors of flame kept me entranced for quite some time. I love the stained glass quality, the flow from one color to the other, and the crystal in the center. It seems somehow both mystical and magical, with a slight air of menace as well which both threatens and allures.

Sprouting Indoors

The wonderment begins in the first store; like many stores on these sims, there are precious prims set aside to turn the mundanity of a store into something magical. I fell in love with these flowers - especially the butterfly ones - and they were placed perfectly to entice you to stop and dream a while. I love how the dull brown of the backdrop would give way to glorious spots of color; like the flush of life which blooms in the desert, there is a feel of spontaneity and playfulness.

A Resting Tree

The color is continued in these charming lanterns which hang from wizened branches and curling posts all over the sim. They come in little flashes, easy to miss if you're in a hurry but an incentive to slow down and really savor the small details of desert life, even here by an oasis.

Incarnadine View

And then there's the tower, with it's satellites.

Descent into Fire

I love the tower, in all of its aspects. Words cannot possibly do it justice.

Fantasy Faire: Enchanted Mysts

The Enchanted Mysts totally lives up to its name, being a misty and dreamy landscape with soothing water flowing through and little pockets of delight here and there for the visitor to enjoy. I particularly liked the pale stone with the simple landscaping - soft shades of blue and green and gray, with the occasional flair up of teal really set the backdrop for mists, stores, and avatars alike.

Amazing Pastel Flower

This gorgeous flower was actually inside of one of the stores, but I saw it and fell in love. I think I like the flowers all over these sims the most - though again, my perennial lament that I couldn't sit on it. The glow was simply charming, though; a little lens flairtastic, but somehow the unfocused light seems to suit the feel of the sim in general. I love the pastel leaves on this, though - simply gorgeous.

Dance!

The central feature is a lovely open lake edged with the buildings surrounding the edges. Out onto the lake is a gorgeous, broken down bridge - you have to jump or fly to get to the glowing ball at the far end (I photographed it in another picture not shown here). I love the shape of the lights and their moving glow - the teal really stands out against the softness of the rest of the features - a hint at some hidden mystical past we may never be able to discover.

Angelic Guardian

The sim fade here wasn't as smooth as in some of the other sims - the style of the Forest of Light being very different - but I think the lovely little ponds festoon with lilies and moss-covered trees is entrancing enough to distract the eye. Another feature all over Enchanted Mysts are these faintly glowing statues of angels doing various things; this one is, of course, holding aloft a torch to light our way into this new place.

Water's Edge

I love the little gatherings of cattails and lilies. The combination always reminds me of my grandparent's lake, which they had to dredge if we were to go into the large body of water for fishing. Lilies always covered the edges, creeping up against the cat tails and sometimes seeming to climb them! I did my first sailing there - very unsuccessfully - and learned to fish and gut a fish. Grandma would cook the fish we caught that morning, and it ruined me for fish in restaurants for years because I could always taste the fishy that comes when fish is frozen. Both of my grandparents are gone, now, but I like how little things can bring them back in my mind and remind me of the frustrating and wonderful roots of my family.

Time for Mushrooms

I absolutely adored these mushrooms with the giant watch. The butterflies actually move (one sad thing about static pictures is that the truly enchanting moving parts of these sims simply don't come across as well as I'd like. Sometime I might learn to take video just so I can incorporate it into these records!) and are beautifully colored. I totally want those wings and a dress to match! Something kind of dropping and artistic while still retaining the elegance black always seems to impart.

Natural Decay

I should mention the outfit - though of course you've seen it before! This is Sa-eela's Smira Chalwar, which is one of the outfits I reviewed for the Fantasy Faire. You'll see the kirtle in another post, but the camisk is far too... not covering for me to wear when prancing around a sim, even if nothing ever rezzes. I'd simply DIE. I love the chalwar for bouncing about, though - it's very low prim, and I felt hardly any lag despite being in a faire situation, which is always a laggy sort of place.

Mystical Gateway

This picture is a reminder for me! When I have time, I want to go back and poke around this, see if it goes anywhere and if I can find anything hidden. I swung by quickly on my first time through, but looking at it in pictures it looks like the kind of place secrets are held. I love the use of glow here, as well, adding something truly mystical.

Fantasy Faire: Falln Angel Creations - Tallimare Outfit in Light and Shadow

Falln Angel Creations was one of the first stores I ever became loyal to, and through which I met many of my dear friends. It's with significant honor, therefore, that I get to share with you Azriel's offerings for the Fantasy Faire this year - a matching set of outfits in Light and Shadow versions called the Tallimare Outfit. I barely scratched the surface of the many combinations possible with this, not to mention the huge room for variation by combining pieces from each set.

FallnPieces
Poses: Ks2cool, 71-80 & 71-80

There are three head covering options (two hats and a veil), three tops which can be layered in a variety of ways, two bottoms, and four waist options, including silks, a jacket, and a bustle skirt. The gloves come with two choices of cuff - large and small - and also look quite good without any cuff at all. The stockings, glove tops, and jacket are all of a color on each outfit - an angelic blue on the Light set, and a rich red on the Shadow set. Trim matches up with the lower glove section and aspects of the skirts, as you can see.

MirrorOutfits1
Pose: Ks2cool, Pose81-90

The jacket has been cunningly designed so that you can wear it alone, covering the necessary bits but not much more. I love how it combines with the belt, here, and you can see the pants design as well - with the cut-outs on the outer thigh. The belt design on all of the bottom part pieces has a cutting wide belt, plus two narrower bands angled out. I had to do some editing to make sure everything fit - being a round little fairy - but since all of the prim pieces are modify-ok, it was a matter of moments to set it all up. One of the neck options is shown, too, the small collar (I love that things came in large and small!).

MirrorOutfits2
Pose: Ks2cool, Pose85-90

The bustle skirt was by far the hardest to fit, though it was easier the second time around than the first, simply because it's made of multiple layers - which can get confusing. As you can see, the end result is well worth the effort! The back is solid, but the front has open panels to show off your legs, and the belt tops it off nicely. The undershirt can be seen here, too - each outfit comes with both a white and a black undershirt and matching jabots for the neck. I adore the line patterning on it, and the texture almost seems like silk.

MirrorOutfits3
Pose: Ks2cool, Pose95-100

The hoods that come with this set are fantastic - and are actually my low-lag headcovering of choice now! Here you can see it paired with the large collar and the jabot together - off-setting the alternated colored undershirt and then the shirt over top. I love how it layers with the silks bottom, here; the belt is part of the silks so you could leave of the shirt if you wanted and use the jacket over top for a slightly more risque option. I can't believe I thought of that now! That would look awesome!

MirrorOutfits4
Pose: Ks2cool, Pose 83-90

The female hat is smaller, and cuter - stylishly angled. I love the neckline for this, especially with the jacket layered on top! It almost looks like petals of a flower when I pair it with the stamen-style jabot. The jacket goes well with both bottoms - one giving a flair of the theatrical, while the other is more formal, especially since the cutouts on the sides of the thighs are covered by the jacket tails. Paired with the shirt, this might almost qualify as decorous and formal, with a slight edge.

MirrorOutfits5
Pose: Ks2cool, Pose 90-90

The men's had is larger, taller, an old-fashioned top hat. As you can see here, as well, the two sets combine well - the black goes with the blue, and the red with the silver. The actual possible variations are complex, since you have so many variables to play with and so many different styles you can fit. From the feminine to the masculine, this outfit covers the whole gamut.

MirrorOutfits6
Pose: Ks2cool, Pose 99-100

You can find it all now, in the Forest of Light at the Fantasy Faire.

Fantasy Faire: Forest of Light

The Forest of Light is aptly named, being filled with glow and gorgeous trees. In the heart of it is a gentle waterfall feeding a lake, with low limbed trees hanging down and giant mushrooms and flowers peeking here and there.I adore the giant, translucent flowers in various shades. Some of them turn their fluted faces up to the sky, while others hang over for faeries to dance under.

A Quiet Spot

Long vines of crystalline hue hand down, the green of the ground set of well by the myriad shades of blue and teal. I love the little hints of brighter green, like secrets set within the darkness. There are also large gatherings of hollyhocks in brilliant shades of teal and gold, which ended up matching the outfit I picked up at Evie's closet perfectly - a complete surprise to me, I'll admit! The store is right by the entrance, so I went there before bouncing my way about the sim.

Faerie Hollyhock Among the Rest

As you can see, somehow stepping into the forest of light cleared me of my wings, though I gained some scales and glimmering clothing. While I missed being able to easily flutter, I have to admit the gorgeousness of the outfit more than made up for being temporarily grounded.

The outfit I'm wearing through all of these pictures is one of the RFL purchases at Evie's Closet, a delicate mer-inspired outfit with a sheer top and skirt and included "modesty scales". I honestly fell in love with the design as I wore it, and strongly hope she'll make more along this vein. The top was easy to fit (just made it a little bigger) and gave a wonderful quality to the skin underneath. There's a delicate curve which I simply found entrancing, and the back is as wonderful as the front. The scales even flowed gently into the koi skin I'm wearing, somehow looking like they were made to go together.

Truly Epic Store

Many of the store builds here are absolutely amazing - both in keeping with the sim theme and a step beyond. Epic particularly caught my attention, decorated in a cartoonishly cute landscape theme. It's reminiscent of the fairy tales I used to read as a child - not the dark ones, where people lose their eyes as punishment or they're sent down a hill in a barrel covered in nails, but the cute ones where the hunter shows up to cut out Little Red Ridinghood and her grandmother. Though, really, those could get pretty dark, too, what with filling the wolf's belly with rocks so he would drown.

Lost in a Fairytale

This is pure, shining, colorful childhood, though. All of the colors are so vivid and saturated without being over saturated. I felt like I could lose myself in the store, blissfully passing into history as one of the good fairies whose appearance heralds luck for the hero. Childhood is usually a time of sweetness and safety, of bright colors and vivid emotions. It's not so much a time of innocence, though, except in retrospect. In the present time, while one is a child, there is a world of frustrations and curiosity.

Glow

I think the innocence might more be called unselfconsciousness. While a child, there is a lack of those limiting awareness of the futures, of long term effects, of how other people see us. Much of becoming an adult is gaining those things, in limiting the self into regimentation, into creating the personas which will fulfill the roles demanded of us, and into learning to view ourselves with suspicion in case we stray into the realm of being embarrassing. I came to some of this late, deeply embarrassing friends into my early twenties.

Usual Woodland Creatures

Second Life is, for many people, a way to take those private, hidden, deeply embarrassing and childlike parts of ourselves and exploring them where our names aren't included. Like these giant animals I found in the Forest of Light, there is a charm and simplicity to usual animals imagined with wings. For others, it's ways of exploring sexual fantasies, some of which are translatable offline while others... really aren't.

Dragon Fountain

Dragons... not so easy to translate offline, except like this - in a fountain! I love how it's perched over a ball, water flowing smoothly into the basin below. There was a gentle sound, too, if I remember correctly. The dragon himself has strong dinosaur qualities - appropriate since one of the roots of dragons, we think, might be dinosaur bones. It would explain why dragon-like things show up all over, even if the qualities differ between the Enemies to Humanity in the West and Creatures to Be Revered in the East (to grossly generalize).

We Are the World, We are the Chirpies

These birds are similarly fantastical, if more on a realistic base. I paused for a photograph with them, where they were placed cutely around a donation kiosk. I especially like the one in front with the rainbow wings - speckled and lovely. I also am very fond of the delicate pinkish flowers, almost like sakura blossoms suspended in air.

Springing Up

The unselfconsciousness of Second Life is simultaneously one of it's draws, and one of it's weaknesses. It calls to those who are different, feel outcast, who hide from others but not from themselves. That, on the other hand, causes problems from both people who match the mores of the world, and those who don't but don;'t want anyone to suspect. People acting out their secret, perverted desires caught the attention of the media, who published it both for ratings and to reinforce the status quo of the "normal".

In order for Second Life to become more broadly popular, these things need to change - at least to an extent. People thrive on feeling like they are normal, like they belong, like they are part of the moral majority. I only hope the future for Second Life includes room for the abnormal, the outsiders, and the moral minority.

A Safe Spot to Curl Up

In Second life, I can be a faerie - even without wings. In Second Life I can go to a place where I recapture innocence, even if it's an innocence I never truly knew.

Fantasy Faire: Sea of Mer

I began in the Sea of Mer because it was what was farthest from my usual, and yet I love water and mermaids - I just rarely am one - though after watching Designing Worlds I may end up buying the RFL Sakura Mer set that Saffia modeled; it was even more gorgeous than I expected.

On the Half-Shell

On the surface are glorious sea themed items looking as they often do over the surface - slightly dry and still; quiet, with a faint gleam where the water touches them with life. I immediately fell in love with the giant shells; the enormous clam here is dressed up with some glowing flowers, for example. My one slight whine is I desperately wished I could sit inside. I really wish more builders would include poses for those of us who want to incorporate ourselves into the landscape - I would have loved to be able to curl up inside the shell, for example.

Jellyfish Tree

Even on the surface, there are plants redolent of undersea - for example these gorgeous trees which are for sale as part of Relay for Life. Their shape is reminiscent of jellyfish, the long fronds like delicate seaweed hanging down, and I found myself transfixed for quite some time watching them. They made me wish for land - I have a quite small Linden house that doesn't allow for landscaping, but in my dream of dreams I become rich, have a sim, and can decorate it with amazing things like this tree.

Ruins

I also quite loved the hints of ruins mixed in with tall-standing towers - the latter much harder to photograph. In this case, a tower tumbled into the water, showing more clearly the shell-pattern in the textures. The quality is that of fossils, where the shell itself is gone but the shape of it remains indelibly in stone, enduringly beautiful.

Whirlpool

Even on the surface, water was an integral part of most of the stores - in some cases leading one to wade blissfully through glowing flowers, thigh-deep in warm water. The Trap skin I'm wearing, Koi, was an old purchase - one of the first skins I ever bought - and is my standard low-lag outfit when I go to high lag places. It's not terribly modest, but I found the water-themed patterns and the mix of colors really suited the sim.

Plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant!

Below the surface is like another world - a magical watery grove of beauty with a few stores speckled here and there like jewels. Most of the plants are absolutely gorgeous, using glow to good effect - that is, enough to be vibrant, not so much that the texturing is obscured. I love the hint of pink along the side, setting off the rich greens perfectly.

I want it, like a wanting thing that wants.

Glowing Lotuses

In the center of the sim is an open garden area (the plant above was tucked in between two stores) and off to one side of it was a charming lotus garden. I fell in love with these flowers and stood staring at them for quite some time. The colors vary a lot, and each flower has a glow in it that reminds one that gods have sat upon those flowers.

Hidden Grasses

I ended up buying my first outfit when I hit underwater - a gorgeous dress by Rose Princess. I knew Rose Princess from old - she does a lovely Flowery Fairy style - but hadn't bought much. I was tempted by this gorgeous Pansy Dress, and simply couldn't resist spiking my arc up and earning the enmity of everyone around me. I love how it moves under water, the sleeves flowing gently as I move. The golds and yellows in it are brought out by the golden grasses under the surface, too, making what was happenstance seem like style and careful planning.

Green Jellyfish

Also under the waves, appropriately, are living things floating along serenely. I was particularly struck by the glowing, giant jellyfish - though I took care to avoid their tentacles! Lovely but dangerous, the jellyfish are an apt symbol for the sea. In my religion, Ran and Aegir rule the untamed depths of the sea, the sea which pulls those within it's auspices under and keeps them safe. Aegir is a great brewer, and the foam on the sea is remnants from his brewing great vats of ale for the sailors who Ran pulled under to marry to her daughters. I specify untamed sea because Njord is the great fisherman of the gods, bringing it's bounty to all wights. Ran and Aegir, in contrast, may not be friends to humankind - they are appeased, placated, perhaps loved but always at great risk.

Mysterious Depths

Like these clams, who are as likely to have you for dinner than not, a degree of care and respect seems to be demanded by the sea. Swim lightly in these realms, for they are places where those larger than any human rule, and we are tiny in the face of it. A knowledge of one's place seems, to me, to be a critical thing to continue in the world. I don't mean in terms of looking down on oneself, as the phrase is so often used and meant, but rather an awareness of your environment which is realistic. This is, of course, an ironic thing to say when one is walking blissfully through a digital land made to look like the sea.

Complementary Colors

Even these created worlds, though, have their own internal sense, rules, and appropriateness. Trees from another sim would be jarringly out of place - indeed, it's that jar that is so often complained of on the mainland, where everyone's dreams, skill, and sense of taste press up against each other riotously. Differing awarenesses of one's environment, and differing abilities to respond to it, often results in insults and conflict. In contrast, you have places like this sim - where the core land was created by artists responding to each other, with strong, appropriate sense of both environment and appropriateness, and a high level of skill to communicate their intentions.

Fantasy Faire: Forsaken - Bracelets and Boots

I am always startled when people I think of as friends suddenly spring up with stores. Unlike those I met through their stores, I struggle to remember those who are my friends have stores, not out of any intended ill will but rather because I am vague and forgetful.

This is pertinent because when Vincent Vile was in my IMs saying brightly, "If you want a review pack, let me know!" I went, "Squeee-wha? You have a store?"

I'm sure he's so glad, now, that I'm posting this for everyone to see!

He's releasing a couple small things for the Faire, but they are totally delightful and are harbingers, I hear, of a full outfit in the offing. All I have to say is - bring on the bullets and butterflies!

bfg

I adore the bracelets he gave me. It would have never occurred to me to combine bullets and butterflies, but now that I have them I want more! The bracelets are well made, fit easily around my wrist, and I want to snuggle them but they'd leave a hole in my head! Oh woe.

The boots come in many, many sizes; I'm wearing the little female ones right now because I am both little and female! See, genius I tell you. The chains are perfectly set off with an, "I'll cut you," spike on the back for anyone who tries to step. I felt these boots deserved a harder, rougher faerie - and so I brought out my trusty bfg for the posing, and ornamented them with more butterflies and swooshy, sparkly roses.

I have mad style, yo.

Fantasy Faire: Adam n Eve - Outfit, Skin, and Cosmetics

4/3/11: I had the great pleasure of talking to Sachi after this post and she generously put together and sent me the blond brows for the Astrelle Fae skin. She's also added them to the sale boxes! I was totally overwhelmed by the customer service!

I have to admit, this next set I'm reviewing came completely by surprise. I logged in, not thinking I'd have much more to review since two of my three stores came through with such lovely things, only to find in my inventory this charming folder full of things I had, in at least one case, already quite fell in love with.

As friends would attest, I squee-ed into their IMs. See, I already had a notecard for the eye makeup from Adam n Eve, and it was on my "to buy" list, depending on the price as I must admit I'm rather tight this month (last month's reviews of Fashion for Life quite emptied my pockets!).

To find one of those very same eye make-ups in my inventory was therefore an unparalleled delight!

Squeeable Eye Makeup
Pose Facial Closeup: Glitterati, 027

*flails at you all, squeeing incoherently* Isn't it amazing? Flowers! Around my eyes! All viney and... flowery and .... *flails incoherently*

Anyway, I will try to be all professional and not squee too much. Please forgive the occasional burble of glee, but in addition to this giving me something I, joy of joys, already wanted - it's also my first out of the blue request for a review! Well, sort of out of the blue, since I'm a official blogger for the Fantasy Faire, but *flails incoherently* Such bliss!

Cosmetics
Pose Facial Closeup: Glitterati, 027

In addition to cosmetics *burble* that shiny little folder also included a lovely outfit with two skirts, and a skin to wear under the cosmetics *squeak*. The skin, Astrelle Fae, comes with a cleavage and no cleavage version. My one whine, and it is a very little one, is I wish there were multiple brows - though I understand the upload and set-up associations with multiple brows is a pain. Once my browser is set up for multiple layers I'll try to layer a set of blond brows I have over, see if it works out.

I could easily wear the skin without a single tweak to my shape - which can't be said about all skins! The lips are charming, with just a little shadow at the corners of the mouth. The nose is rather more ...noseish than I'm used to, but I have to admit the clear nostril marks grew on me as I wore it. The skin comes very naked in tone, both eyes and mouth, with just the faintest liner around the former and a faintly pink lipstick on the latter. As you can see above, it was dressed up by all of the cosmetics charmingly.

Nails and Cleavage
Pose Mirrored: Glitterati, 050
Pose Hand and Feet Close-up: Glitterati, 024

Here you can see the cleavage versus no cleavage versions, along with close ups of the nail polish. I'm afraid neither the toes nor the fingernails really quite look right, but that's not the fault of anyone on Second Life making nails! I love the soft pink color there, though; it's delicately feminine.

In terms of cleavage, I definitely lean toward more in this skin, which isn't always the case! I love how soft the shadows are, though, and how smooth and clear the skin is. The only struggle I had was matching my ears in; the shade of pinkish white was unique, and I ended up compensating as best I could with the color hud of the ears, but I'm afraid the color difference stands out here and there.

Skirt 1

The included dress comes with shoulder guards and wrist guards, shown up close above (yes, it's the same in both pictures. Shush.). The skirt comes in two varieties with the same belt design, one a long silks style with an angled end and the other a series of shorter flaps flaring out in front and back.

The first is quite elegant and required only a little fitting (yay modify-ok clothing!!) - like with many silks, my butt had a tendency to stick out; all I needed to do was a little angling of the back flap, though, and va-va-va-voom! I also shortened both front and back, since I'm but an ickle fae, but it was quite easy as well.

The second required no fitting at all; I simply put it on, moved it forward a little, and I was set for the photo-studio! It gives it quite the feel of a Warrior Princess; all I need is a circular blade and I can go across Second Life, righting wrongs and trying to redeem myself for the crimes I caused before I became good!

Fantasy Faire: Sa-eela - Kajira Set

2011-04-01Sa-eela 01_001

Sa-eela has some fantastic offerings for the Fantasy Faire, but before I get into gushing out the outfits I want to take a moment to squeal about these absolutely adorable packages for them. Using the textures of the items within, or in the case of the jewelry being a cute little box, the second these rezzed I knew I had to take a picture with them! Aren't they simply awesome?

The offerings are three outfits, appropriate for a kajira on the go, and a set of hair flowers with matching wooden and flower earrings. I love the earrings, a graceful curve with little flowers perching cheerfully at the nadir. The hair-flowers match in color, a set of purple daisies with sunny gold hearts.

Smira Chalwar

The first outfit, which I totally fell in love with, is part Chalwar, part silks, in a lovely fade of gray and gold. The details - at the bodice and front and back of the silks - ares imply amazing. It comes with a belly ring, too, which matches the style perfectly.

The cut is low in front and back, the bodice one of the barely there type; it looks like the sort of outfit worn to remind people how easy - and fun! - it is to slip cloth off of skin.

Slibi Kamisk

Speaking of easy to remove, the Slibi Kamisk fits the bill to a T. With a sheen that speaks to fur or metal somehow, it has a daring half-cover design, leaving you bare from right under the breast down with simply a belt to hold everything in place. From the right angles, very little is left to the imagination - but I thought I'd give your imagination a little room to work!

I adore the thigh-band, complete with a diary and ink. It's an awesome touch, suggesting a kajira with a little more on her mind than flashing every passing person. The little flower is particularly appreciated.

Sakhon Kirtle

Finally, the Sakhon Kirtle is a glorious example of taking prim clothing and making it look home made and raw. The top and skirt are both loosely fitted, baggy, like sewn by an inexpert seamstress. The large rope tie around the waist, woven in and out of the belt unevenly, looks like something done in a rush and knotted in the hopes it would last, without any real expectations that it will.

In addition to a covering top, the kirtle comes with a top with the sleeve pulled down, revealing... well, lets just say I finally had a use for those pasties in my inventory! It also comes with a plain belt, without the rope woven in, but I find the rope belt so charming I can't imagine not wearing it.

I ended up doing quite a bit of fitting on most of these outfits, especially the belt of the kirtle. It was easy to do, though, because - thank the gods - the clothing is modify-ok! A short while of editing, some shrinking and shifting around, and I had glorious outfits that fit even my round, petite frame!
