21 Shoe: YS & YS

Perfect for summer, YS & YS textured a pair of sunny sandals with tasty treats for SLink and Maitreya feet. Designed as cork heels that are almost wedges, the rest of the shoe is charmingly brief - a cross strap vamp and ankle straps which cross at the heel and latch with a large, oblong clasp by the Achilles tendon. I love the textures - from the strawberry on white of the red to the layered bananas over bananas over bananas of the yellow, the textures are bright and summery and the style is perfect for the beach. I can just see these with a flirty print dress and a wide brimmed hat at a garden party amongst the glitterati.

The animations I'm using in this picture and others are actually a free gift from Thirty Loop Animations - a glorious set of shoe-focused poses and stances that are perfect for photography. I really like how expressive and varying they are, from ones in full motion to gentle pauses on a pedestal. All of them are free if you're a member of the 21 Shoe group!

21 Shoe: YS & YS

YS & YS offer up some deliciously strappy shoes this month, a combination of a t-strap and a vamp made up of more, even thinner straps that have been fanned out from the center point along the edge of the shoe, caught between the sole and the platform.  The pale shade has a delicate fabric texture up close, realistic enough that one feels one could reach out to the screen and feel it. At a distance, it offers a lovely softness to the edges of shadow and light. The other shoe has a platform is wooden instead of covered, a pale shade that works very well with the white or patterned white and black shoes. I particularly appreciate how uneven the pattern is - reminiscent of  polka dots but without the hard edges - jumping the straps and giving a sensation of movement on a static form. Both shoes are shaped for the SLink high feet, shown here, or the Maitreya high feet; they're rigged and uneditable.

21 Shoe: YS & YS

YS & YS has brought us a glory of cream and pink for this month's 21 Shoe. Both shoes are round-toed, open fronted heels with lovely gold bands across the front of the foot - a fantastic touch. I love how uneven the front bands are, slightly off from each other or angled a little to one or the other side as if pressing against the flesh of the front of my foot, and the curve of leather for the vamp wraps around and then under the platform. One final, charming touch is the zipper up the heel. It even has YS & YS embossed on the metal of the zipper tongue! The shoes themselves are fit for the SLink high feet as well as the Maitreya Lara body and the Belleza Venus high feet style - meaning that almost any feet you have will work with these charming platform heels.
