Fantasy Faire: A Traveller in Breeze

Breeze: Running the Cliff Edge

Breeze offers a lot of fresh and light wonders for wearing - all blending in beautifully with the bright, clear colors of the sim itself. I've changed skins again, this time for a more naturalistic one from Stix (Breeze). It comes with appliers for Belleza, Meitreya, Omega, SLink, TMP, and .:Soul:. Uni ears. Included in all of that is multiple body hair options and cleavage options galore! You can tint your SLink hands and feet using any of the SLink choices - so don't worry that you don't see anything specific to them. Where she can she's combine appliers, which my straining inventory appreciates! There are also a ton of head options, including Catwa, Genesis, LeLutka, Omega, and Visage and a separate lip HUD for Nyam Nyam, Sweetlips, .:Soul:. Kissers, and Loud Mouth. The cosmetics included are soft and a rosy take on natural, with brown shadows around the eyes and a darker upper lip. Tons of options for any combination of body parts you may have! Layered on top of the skin I've added two tattoos - a hint of purple scales and a thicker, metallic bodypaint effect, both of them from :[Even~Tide]: (Echtra). They're a lot of fun, adding some interest and shade to my body since I'm unexpectedly showing so much skin!

Fantasy Faire: Creations of Breeze

Creations of Breeze

A scene of drama on the sands, aided by the creators of Breeze! A mermaid has been captures, trapped in {Rook} Poses (Breeze)'s Dew Drop. It has a single pose which is fully adjustable via a blue menu; when you sit you also get the option of getting a dew drop to hold in contemplation. The flower stem is nicely long, letting me move it high and low looking for the perfect angle; it's something really fun for a scene or for waiting in the wild. Her resting shell and the rock it rests on is nearby with twenty-five poses included for the discerning mer, all courtesy of FantaSea (Breeze). I especially love how easily it fits with the landscape, sliding into the ocean and in front of other details on the shore as if it was made for it. The unicorn in front is one of a bunch of gacha prizes, full sized unicorns which are either wearable or rezzable from Jinx (Breeze). They're a variety of shades and shaped wonderfully, with large noses and broad horns - these are substantial unicorns. Both the confrontation scene and the harp and harp pose are from Eternal Dream (Breeze). The wants are transferable, which came in handy for Zoe and Agbala as they face off in battle. Fantastic poses with dynamic angles and excellent props - an all around win for your photographic needs!

Fantasy Faire: ColeMarie Soliel's Partical Dances

ColeMarie Soliel: Lunge

While I've used ColeMarie's particles for a while in a variety of contexts from dances to images, and loved them for a long time. Her store is Cole’s Corner (Lucentia) if you want some of your own. I'd always somehow missed her particle shows in Second Life, and was determined to see this one by hook or by crook. She uses her own particles in combination to create elaborate displays of light and movement to music - and they are every bit as astonishing as I had heard. She did six songs in total, each with a quote predating it and a specific mood evoked; I did my best to try to capture some of the mood I was able to enjoy. She has a second show on Sunday. May 1st at 12noon on Lucentia and I highly encourage you to get there early! It will fill up fast.

Fantasy Faire: A Traveller in Tinker's Hollow

Tinker's Hollow: Flowery Balance

I am thrilled by the goodies of Tinker's Hollow and I have three to show you here! One of my old favorites is back for another Faire, Analog Dog (Tinkers Hollow) who does some of the best soft textures and interesting braided styles on the grid. This one is a mix of loose and braided hair, rigged to the body and moving well with each pose. I particularly like the fit around the ears, which can be fraught when your ears are as big as mine! The comes with HUDs for each set of colors - everything from light blonds to shiny and improbable colors.

Fantasy Faire: A Traveller on Blackmoor

Blackmoor: Lying in Wait

I'm wearing a .:Soul:. (Blackmoor) skin again, this time in a rich cyan with gold and peach markings, and I'm sure it's obvious why - his skins are truly astonishing this year! They come with a million and a half appliers, all neatly tucked into HUDs - Body Appliers include SLink, Maitreya, Belleza, and Omega with a separate TMP set, and Face Appliers include Genesis, Lelutka, Catwa, Omega, BentBox, and the Uni Ears also with a separate TMP set. The tattoo layer and a faded layer are also included, and the faded layer can be used to make unique tints and shades if you so desire. It leads to a seamless effect from the SL mesh to my mesh body parts. My wings are beams of light which can be turned on and off, their base a smooth disk of shining metal. Autogenica (Blackmoor) made these, and they are a wonderful example of wings made of light - an often frought undertaking! They come with a HUD to turnt he wings on and off, making them perfect for a modern flight setting.

Fantasy Fair: The LitFest Tours

The LitFest Tours are one of the ongoing Faire events and are based out of Otherworld. Each day, twice a day, people can gather at the Pavilion in Otherworld to go together to one or another sim of choice - it's different morning and evening. There is a wonderful notecard of information, things of note, and questions for each sim, and after a half hour or so of exploration and inspiration you return to the Pavilion to write and share what you have written. It's a wonderful opportunity to get your writing chops on and riff off of the Fairelands themselves. I'm also finding it unexpectedly relaxing, a real change from the immense amount of other writing I'm doing for this blog right now and a chance for a little feedback!

At 5PM each day of the faire is a deadline for a story or poem related to one of the sims, clockwise from The Golden Delta through to Blackmoor with a focus on the shopping sims. You submit your work either by emailing it to fantasyfaireshortstory@gmail.com or by dropping a notecard in the box by the information board at the Pavilion. There's a chance that what you wrote will become part of the "Tales from the Faire Lands" on the website, and any way around it you'll have what was inspired within you by opening your heart to the Faireland and seeing what seeds bloom.
